I have a 27" 3.4GHz i7 iMac with 2Gb NVIDIA GTX 680MX video card.  I tried to connect it with a Dell 30" minitor as a second display by using DVI cable.  I used to use the Dell minitor for my PC and the resolution was 2560x1440 working perfectly

Thanks!!
